Um, that's called workplace bullying. And by sacking you the LM has made it worse - for them!

As long as you have witnesses or other hard evidence they will have to pay you compendation for lost earnings. It will also make the bully think twicw before yelling at someone else.

The bees were of the bumble bee variety (not honey bees) and the nests (with the queen intact) were released into suitable places into our garden where they could rebuild.

Dr Pest does his utmost (where possible) to get the honeybees accepted by the local apiarist.

But we are thinking about setting up a few beehives for unwanted honey bee nests. that way we could produce our own local honey. But it's just a thought at present.

And you're right to worry about bees. They are on the decline.

As for characters based on hairdressers popping into my head - that hasn't happened to me (yet).

The most bizarre experience I had with a hairdresser was a lengthy talk about her fake new boobs and an invitation to 'feel' them for myself (which I politely refused).

And I thought it was just the hairdressers I went ...

And I thought it was just the hairdressers I went to that took ages.

I tend to bring a book, or print out of a script I want to edit by hand or sometimes I just accept that this is it and try to enjoy being there, listening to their chat, asking questions, seeking opinions and then a character pretty much like your hairdresser pops up in one of your stories. That's what happened to me, anyway.
